At iPullRank, our value set and guiding principles are encapsulated in the acronym PROUD.

PROUD stands for:

  • Proactive – We expect that our team will act in anticipation of future problems
  • Reliable – We expect that team members will follow through on all commitments
  • Outstanding – We expect that the work we deliver will exceed the expected result and be 10X better than whatever else is out there
  • Useful – We expect that our work will always be valuable, not just to our customers, but, most importantly, to the end user
  • Dedicated – We expect that our team will ethically do whatever it takes to deliver on our commitments and achieve results.

At its root, PROUD is five principles that describe how you should always be looking to take ownership of your work and interactions internally and externally. It is designed to be a framework for decision-making to allow you to autonomously make decisions in support of our collective mission.

These are the principles we aspire to embody, those that we offer constructive criticism behind, by which praise is offered and those with which success is measured.

With everything that you do, you should keep these five pillars front and center in your mind as you work. In client interactions, team interactions and how you contribute individually you should always ask yourself “Am I PROUD of this?”

If you see a coworker or manager behaving in a way that does not exemplify these values, we welcome you to discuss it with them privately by asking them if they are PROUD of those behaviors. If these behaviors continue, we encourage you to escalate to their manager.

If you’re looking for constructive criticism of your own work, we encourage you to request feedback within this framework as well.

Most importantly, we expect that you will recognize and support each other in this way.

PROUD is not meant to just be a slogan for marketing and attracting talent. If you find it used that way you should challenge us to be better - PROUDer. Bring it to the attention of Mike King or speak up in the #proud Slack channel. For instances that are especially egregious, see the Human Resources section of this document.

The next five sections will introduce you to PROUD via overviews and scenarios to help you better understand each of these principles, but do not think of this as an exhaustive list. Extrapolate from these scenarios and let us learn how to better exemplify these values together.
