Introducing Yourself to Clients Copy

Topic
Materials

In meetings of any kind, you may be called upon to introduce yourself to our clients. It is important that you keep your introduction concise yet informative in order to further strengthen our client’s belief that they’ve chosen the right team.

You should prepare a short 3-4 sentence introduction about yourself that can be said quickly in the course of a conversation and does not raise additional questions about our ability to deliver the work

That introduction should include:

  • Your title
  • An explanation of what you’re responsible for
  • Highlights of your expertise
  • Highlights of previous work you’ve done related to the client’s industry or project
  • A fun fact about yourself

Unless explicitly requested, that introduction should not:

  • Indicate that you are the only person in our company that does your role. Saying “I’m the [role] at iPullRank” indicates that we are small which can raise questions of whether we have enough people to support the work.
  • Include how long you’ve been with the company. This adds a mark of comparison between employees which may indicate to a client that you don’t have enough experience within the organization to be effective.
  • Indicate that you are a contractor or freelancer
